Talking nitrous anyone?

How would a stock 76 caddy handle a 125-150 shot of nitrous? I read on the nos site that cast pistons on a stock motor can handle 125 shot but curious as to your thoughts? Tnx...RR

DON'T run the engine lean, and DON'T detonate.

Shouldn't be a problem to add ~150 horsepower.

A previous Cadillac engine enthusiast that went by the handle of LUXLX ran a junkyard 500 with the original pistons & rods in a little Fox body Mustang. He used to beat the snot out of it regularly & let loose with a 250HP shot of N2O. The engine survived for much longer than anyone ever expected.

Just make sure that you don't wring it out & rev the hell out of it. Plus always be a little fat on the fuel side.
