Default My CadiRat

My CadiRAT- take a four door donor and a two door 1979 combine the best parts of the two. Add one 425 with an 871 blower, mild cam,Dual carbs and 1995 chevy cop car 3:42 posi. Hot rod black it and add some old skool pin strips. Perfect summer cruiser !!!

Bitchin Caddy!!!

I can't recall anyone supercharging a 425. Usually its a 500 if its blown.

How much boost are you building & how well does she run?

Default One blown 425 is DOA.....

JM ,

You where right the 425 lasted about a month. We where running 1:1 and it was a high milage motor. I just recieved a 500 core motor and spoke to Marty on the phone for the start of a rebuild. Should be back in business by spring.
The guys where very helpful and gave me casting numbers to start looking at during the tear down so we know what we have to start with. We will keep you updated as we move forward !!!

Uh-Oh... Oops.

From what I recall the 425 block is a thinner casting than the 472/500. The 425 weighs about 100lbs. less than the 472/500. A lot of material was removed from the crank also. What let loose first on your engine?

Now you're going to have to change your name.

Good luck on the new build. Should be a lot of fun when it's completed.
