Default Valve seal replacement

I have a perfect running 472 motor that sat for almost 20 years. I get a faint smell of oil when I first start up the motor after it sits for several days. It does not smoke and I've never added oil. My question is; is there a way to replace the valve seals with the heads on the motor? I know it can be done in a Chev motor by pumping air into the cylinder to keep the valve from dropping while the seal is replaced. Any suggestions? I have never had the valve covers off so I have no idea of what it might take, or if it is at all possible. Many thanks!
