Question few 500 questions???

:grin:Hey all.
Got a few caddies I'm looking at. For a project car I'm building. Want yer oppinions please?
One is a good running but horrible body 70 sedan Seville with a 500 carry n tranny. It has 60,000 miles on it.
2 nd is a 69 convertible with a beat to heck Body and a good running 472 caddy. And auto tranny. Mileage unknown but says it runs good.
"Both are bout the same price"
3rd is a 75 caddy 500ci caddy n auto tranny. Runs great and he will pull it for me. This one is a little bit of a drive but will run me about 4 hundred less than the others.
What's yer thoughts? Goon in a 2800-3200 lb rat rod. Thanks...RR

All would work fine. The 70 DeVille will be a 472. not a 500.
All depends on what the engine is going in. Are you going to rebuild the engines or just plant and drive?

goin in a ratrod project. might weigh 2500-3000 lbs. im just worried cause the 75 has only linited horsepower ratings n tourque but ive heard it was due to insurance reasons.
think the 210@3600 horse and 380@2000 tourque is down to due to insurance reasons? Ive been in a mid 70's caddy and it hauled but in the 6000 lb car.
Think the numbers are more like 300 and 450 ish?
I hate to pass on a low mileage good running 75 engine but i dont want a slow turtle that gets beat by rice burners. and i can always build it later. oppinions?? Tnx, RR
