Default TH-700R torque converter to 472 flex plate bolt pattern

I have bolted a TH700R to my fresh built to OEM specification 472. I used an adapter plate to make the connection but now find that the torque converter in the brand new 1988 TH700 has a bolt diameter that doesn't match my Cadillac flex plate. Do I switch to a TH-400 converter? Will it fit the front shaft of the TH-700? Is there a Th-700 torque converter that will match the bolt pattern on the Cad flex plate? Is there a flex plate that will match the TH-700R torque converter? Anyone? Anyone? Thank you!
