Hi folks, I recently purchased a 1970 coupe deville, which is now on a boat en route to Australia. I'm hoping someone on these forums recognizes the car and can maybe tell me something about the car's history, particular the motor, paint and modifications.

Having bought the car pretty much sight unseen (except the photos) from the US, I haven't really had an opportunity to quiz the previous owner too much. Pics of the car are below...

Cheers
Robbie

If I recall correctly, this car would have had a 375 horsepower 525 ft lb 472 CID engine with a TH400 transmission. The interior, wheels, and paint appear to be custom. I do not recognize that as a factory color, but I could be wrong. I highly recommend changing the wheels, thin sidewalls give poor ride quality. They help to absorb shocks to the suspension. Is that a hydraulic control box I see on the drivers seat?

Air-ride suspension, yes.

I know enough history of the model, I was hoping someone might know a previous owner (long shot), and tell me if the motor's ever been rebuilt or whether it's all stock etc.

thanks

Unlikely. Not the crowd that hangs out here. Not that we don't want them, they just don't come here much.

This board is more oriented to drag racers, and engine/suspension mods useful to that application.

Feel free to help bring some new blood to the forum though.
